Code of Conduct

It is essential that every employee maintains and adheres to the COBC. Violating these standards will subject an employee to disciplinary action including termination of employment.

Code of Business Conduct (COBC)

*This policy is applicable to all employees at all locations.*

Below is an indicative and not exhaustive list of the COBC. In case an employee is not sure if an activity is in violation of the COBC, he/she needs to clarify with the HOD / HR.

  • Confidentiality
  • Each employee is expected to maintain a high degree of confidentiality in terms of the specific work that he/she is handling, and protect the company’s information from any unauthorised use.
  • In case an ex-employee visits the office, the meeting room should be used and no confidential information should be passed on to him/her. This would include information regarding current projects, clients, or in-house staff.
  • Use of Office Equipment and Company’s Property
  • All office equipment and company property should be handled properly and be used for official purposes only, and returned when an employee leaves the services of the company.
  • Unlicensed software should not be installed on company machines.
  • Compliance with Laws and Regulations
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations. We don’t condone an employee’s willful violation of the law, even if the employee believes that such action is furthering the interests of the company. It also is against our policy for anyone in authority to knowingly order an employee to violate the law.
  • Conflict of Interest
  • No employee shall participate in any activity that could pose a conflict of interest in discharging their assigned responsibilities or that have a negative effect on the company.
  • Outside Employment/ Financial Interests/ Business Relationships
  • Unless specially authorised by the management, no employee or immediate family member shall have a financial interest in the business, business relationship with any individual, concern doing business with or competing with MFCTPL.
  • Business Inducement
  • No employee, or member of an employee’s family, may accept anything of value from any present or potential supplier, financial organisation, customer, or other organisations or individuals as an inducement to secure business or favourable treatment. Under no circumstance shall an employee accept cash or its equivalent, such as a cheque or securities.
